Locs or (dreadlocks) have been a style for many people throughout history. From the Germanic Tribes to the Antient Egyptians, this style has been the go-to for a large percentage of our ancestors. On account claims that this hairstyle was originated in India by way of the deity Shiva. The God Shiva wore dreadlocks on early depictions of the deity, but history also attributes the Antient Egyptians for making this hairstyle appropriate for cultural fashion.
The Rastafarians grow their hair long in coils believing it to be a spiritual journey. Throughout the centuries, this hairstyle has transcended the origin of race and has been accepted still by todays standard of beauty. Some of the earliest evidence of the dreadlock hairstyle dates back to 1500-3600 B.C. in Crete, Greece by the Minoan People who wore long braids show on their artwork.
